I will add an Angel Effect to this text.

Start by going into your Layer Manager. If you don’t have it press F7 on your keybord and it will appear.
Select the layer you want to add the effect at.
Now that you selected it, click on the little FX and then click on Outer Glow.

Then a new window will open, you can match your setting to mines if you want, but you can play with them too.
